Why We Golf
Specialized pediatric care isn’t always available close to home. When a child from Northeast Wisconsin needs treatment at Shriners Children’s, families may have to travel hundreds of miles for appointments and surgery.
The Beja Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund helps remove that barrier by assisting local families with travel expenses, ensuring children can get the specialized care they need.
The Dr. John Ottum Memorial Charity Golf Outing is one of the ways our community comes together to make that possible.
Local Impact
Over the past two years, the Beja Shrine Hospital Transportation Fund has provided more than $30,000 in transportation assistance to Northeast Wisconsin families.
Assistance may include:
- Transportation services
- Mileage reimbursement
- Overnight lodging assistance
By easing the burden of travel, families can focus on what matters most—their child’s care and recovery.
